The Throat Lozenge is a simple, buggy sowbug pattern designed for tailwaters and spring creeks where trout feed heavily on small freshwater crustaceans. It has a soft, natural profile in the water with just enough movement to look alive drifting near the bottom.

This is the kind of fly that shines in nutrient-rich fisheries like the Missouri, Bighorn, and other classic tailwaters where sowbugs are a consistent year-round food source.
