Shimano Aero Pro Match Top Kit 2.50m 2pc

Shimano Aero Pro Match Top Kit 2.50m 2pc Elite Competition Finesse

The Shimano Aero Pro Match Top Kit is the pinnacle of finesse top kits within the Aero Concept range. At Gerrys Fishing, we recommend the Pro Match kit for the serious competition angler who demands the ultimate in stiffness and weight reduction. While the Super Match kit is an excellent performer, the Pro version utilizes the highest-grade Japanese carbon from the flagship Aero Pro development program, resulting in a kit that is noticeably crisper and faster on the strike.

Measuring 2.50m and featuring a 2-piece design, this kit is specifically tuned for silverfish, F1s, and light-to-medium commercial work. It comes pre-bushed with a 3.8mm internal PTFE bush, ensuring your light elastics run perfectly smooth. Because it is part of the Aero Concept, it fits every pole in the rangefrom the X1 through to the flagship Pro.

Key Specifications

Why the Pro Match is the Choice of Experts

• Zero-Droop Rigidity: When fishing at 13m or 16m, every gram in the top kit matters. The Pro Match uses premium carbon to ensure the tip remains perfectly still, even in a breeze, giving you better bait presentation and faster strike registration.

• PTFE Precision: The 3.8mm bush is the ideal size for modern hybrid elastics (like size 6-10) or traditional solid elastics. It provides enough clearance for the elastic to retract instantly without the sticking that can occur with smaller bushes.

• Total Concept Compatibility: Like all Aero kits, the Pro Match is exactly the same length as the Power and Cupping kits. This fixed-length system is a major advantage for match anglers, as it means you never have to re-plumb or change your rig length when swapping between kit types.

• Elite Finish: Includes the Ultra Sound Finish for effortless shipping and depth markers every 10cm, allowing you to accurately measure exactly how much line you have in the water.

Gerrys Pro Tip: This is the best kit for speed-fishing for roach and skimmers. The reduction in weight at the tip end significantly speeds up your shipping-out time and makes the pole feel much better balanced over a 5-hour session compared to the standard Match kits.
