Orvis Ratio Fly Reel

When powerful fish make long runs and every second counts, the Orvis Ratio Fly Reel delivers the stopping power and reliability anglers demand.

Built around a fully sealed carbon-stainless disc drag system, the Ratio produces up to 16 pounds of smooth, consistent pressure with zero startup inertia. The result is immediate engagement and precise control when battling strong fish in both freshwater and saltwater environments.

An oversized indexed drag knob allows anglers to make quick, confident micro-adjustments even in the middle of a fight, while the sealed drag design protects critical components from salt, sand, and debris. Whether you’re chasing aggressive saltwater species or hard-running freshwater fish, the Ratio is engineered to perform when the stakes are highest.

Constructed from Type II anodized aluminum, the reel offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability while maintaining a refined strength-to-weight balance. A low-profile counterweight and thoughtfully optimized design ensure smooth rotation and dependable performance cast after cast. When you need a big-game reel that wont back down, the Ratio is ready for the fight.
