New Age Steelhead Classics w/ Theo Ovejas – Wed March 11th, 6pm – Learn to tie beautiful classically inspired steelhead flies using modern shank techniques!

Classic spey flies look fantastic however they can be hard to get reliable hook ups on as the fish get leverage on longer shanks. In this class Theo will be teaching you to tie two flies that marry the best of both worlds, classic style and modern function. These shank flies are infinitely adaptable to any colour you want and they’re proven winners from Ontario to British Columbia. Take your tying game to the next level with these new age classics!

Each student will receive all materials needed to tie 2 proven patterns and will get to take home the flies they tie. Students must have some tying experience for this class.

All materials are provided, students must provide their own fly tying vise and following tools.

• Scissors
• Bobbin
• Whip finisher
• Bodkin

Classes are roughly 2 hours in length but may vary depending on the ability of the class.
