Leeda Icon 8ft 6ins 6-12lb Boat Fishing Rod

The 2 piece Icon Boat rods have a look and feel far makes them feel more expensive than they really are. The rods are built on ultra slim high modulus carbon blanks which are built on the long tip short butt format. They have a lovely tip action which blends progressively into a more powerful butt section, which gives you the feel and control needed to handle quality fish. The rods have a high gloss finish, lined SIC guides, shaped EVA grips and a screw-down reel seat.

Iconhave made a name for themselves in the sea fishing discipline, synonymous with high-quality rods and reels, the brands gear lines the beaches of the UK every weekend and is trusted among sea anglers.

The Icon Boat Rods are, as the name suggests, designed for boat work. Being boat rods, they are designed with limited space in mind and are shorter in length than traditional beach rods, the range includes two 8ft rods and one 7ft 2inchrod.

The two-piece blanks are ultra-slim and constructed from high-modulus carbon and sport a high gloss finish with Icon branding and rod specifications towards the butt section of the rod. The blank is lined with SiC bounded guides, SiC or Silicon Carbide guides are twelve times harder and one-third lighter than stainless steel guides, generating less heat and lower friction allowing you to cast greater distances with improved accuracy.

A fuji DPS style reel seat will comfortably house yourreelof choice and minimise any lateral movement whilst playing a hard fighting smooth hound or bass. Either side of the reel seat is a Japanese shrink-wrapped EVA handle, ergonomically designed to make handling the rod more comfortable, the curvature of the handle lends itself to a sea fishing grip.
