HTO Kamikaze 125 – 125mm 18g – Topwater

HTO Kamikaze 125 125mm | 18g: The Long-Distance Surface Weapon

The HTO Kamikaze 125 is a specialized surface lure that has been concepted with a focus on the specific needs of modern shore anglers. At Gerrys Fishing, we recognize this as a top-tier topwater tool that has Bass written all over it. Developed in conjunction with an expert team of anglers, the Kamikaze is designed to solve the two biggest challenges of surface fishing: extreme casting distances and ease of use.

At 125mm and 18g, this tail-weighted stickbait is pure muscle, built to reach marks that other surface lures simply cannot touch.

Engineering & Ballistic Precision

• Tail-Weighted Aerodynamics: The Kamikaze is tail weighted, which makes the lure aerodynamic and stable in the air. This allow it to cast like an arrow and reach extreme distances, even when facing a stiff coastal breeze.

• Vertical Static Posture: When static, the lure sits tail down in the water. This vertical waiting position is formidable for triggering strikes from predators that track the lure from below during a pause.

• Effortless Walk the Dog: This is one of the easiest lures you will find for walk the dog tactics. With minimal rod tip movement, the lure sweeps from side to side, creating a frenzied surface disturbance that is bound to attract predators.

• Internal Acoustic Attraction: A rattle is incorporated into the body to add extra attraction. This acoustic signature lures in Bass from afar, helping them home in on the lure in choppy water or low-light conditions.

Tactical Applications & Strategy

The Kamikaze 125 is a technical tool for scouring as much water as possible. The Gerrys team suggests:

• The Distance Search Tactic: Use its exceptional casting performance to reach distant reef heads or sandbars. This is essential for reaching unexplored areas where Bass are less likely to be wary.

• The Stop-and-Bob: Take advantage of the tail-down static position. During a walk the dog retrieve, pause the lure for 23 seconds. The way the lure sits in the film often triggers the vicious strike from a following fish.

• Choppy Water Stability: Because it is tail-weighted and stable, the Kamikaze maintains its balance in rougher weather better than lighter surface lures. Use aggressive rod snaps to keep the rattle active and the sweep wide.

• Specimen Hook Integrity: Fitted with incredible Owner ST-46 treble hooks, this lure is reliably lethal. These hooks are designed to withstand the power of a specimen Bass, ensuring you stay connected during a brutal fight.

Gerrys Verdict: The HTO Kamikaze 125 (125mm/18g) is a high-value topwater lure that offers outstanding performance for the price. It solves the problem of distance vs. action by providing a lure that launches like a bullet but remains effortless to animate. For any angler serious about surface Bass, the Kamikaze is an unstoppable and formidable weapon
