Pro Tip from Gerrys Fishing

Pro Tip: The Visi Wag 1 is designed for ultimate efficiency. When using a Drennan Swivel Float Attachment and four Drennan Float Stops (two above and two below), the float is perfectly balanced to take exactly eight No.8 shot on the line. This standardized shotting means you can swap between a 1g Visi Wag for calm margins and a 4g version for a distance line in seconds, knowing your presentation remains identical.

Examples of Where to Use

• Large Stillwaters: The aerodynamic design and interchangeable weights make this float a top choice for reaching distance lines on expansive lakes.

• Winter Carp & F1 Fishing: The 4mm hollow insert tip is incredibly sensitive; it provides enough buoyancy to support decent-sized baits like pellets or corn while showing the tiniest finesse indications when fish are feeding tentatively in cold water.

• Targeting Silverfish: Excellent for skimmers and roach where you need a float that sits stable in the water but offers very little resistance when a fish takes the bait.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of a Banded tip?

The banded Hi-Viz tips act like a scale. They allow you to see exactly how much the float has settled and make it much easier to spot lift bites, where a fish picks up the bait and the shot, causing the float to rise slightly out of the water.

Are these floats as good as traditional Peacock Quill?

They are actually more consistent. Natural quill varies in density and straightness; the hi-tech materials used in the Visi Wag range ensure every float is perfectly straight and carries the exact amount of weight stated on the body, session after session.

Can I change the base weights?

Yes. The base weights are interchangeable, allowing you to fine-tune the floats performance. If you want more or less weight down the line for a specific presentation, you can simply swap the base weight to suit your needs.
